We are a medical spa, laser, and wellness center located in Columbia, MO. Our mission is to help you achieve your aesthetic and wellness needs using medical-grade products, cutting-edge treatments, individualized care, and support to help you see, look, and feel your best.

Retuva was founded by Dr. Joseph D. Rich, an optometrist and entrepreneur, and his wife, pharmacist Dr. Kara Goddard. Dr. Rich purchased Family Focus Eyecare in 2015, and since then, he has expanded the business to serve Mid-Missouri with locations in Columbia and Eldon. With a desire to learn and a natural curiosity, Dr. Rich explored advanced treatments for eye disease and dry eye, including IPL Phototherapy.

As a person who suffers from rosacea and dry eye himself, Dr. Rich experienced immediate relief with his dry eyes and facial redness with IPL Phototherapy. Recognizing the potential of this technology for himself, he wanted to bring cutting-edge technology to patients in Mid-Missouri.

As a result of this growing interest and both his and Kara's love for skincare and aesthetic procedures, they wanted to create a relaxing atmosphere to provide overall health and wellness. This need led to the creation of Retuva: Eye Face Spa.

At Retuva Medical Spa, the professional team gets to know our patients, develops personal relationships with them, and understands their personal goals. We take a non-surgical approach to aesthetics.
